This opportunity is for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide maternity leave coverage within a K-12 special education cooperative serving multiple districts in Illinois. The role supports students with Autism and Intellectual Disabilities in structured learning environments across several elementary and junior high schools.
Locations include:
- Holmes Primary School (Clarendon Hills, IL)
- Anne M Jeans Elementary School (Willowbrook, IL)
- Kingsley Elementary (Downers Grove, IL)
- Westmont Junior High (Westmont, IL)
Assignment dates are approximately from late January to early June 2026, with exact start dates varying by location. The position is full-time, ranging from 35 to 37.5 hours weekly.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language services to 3-4 self-contained classrooms per assignment, each with 6-8 students.
- Implement individualized treatment plans for students within the Structured Learning Environment (SLE) program.
- Collaborate with educators and multidisciplinary teams to support student communication goals.
Qualifications:
- Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with Speech Endorsement.
- Active Illinois Speech License.
- Candidates holding Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred.
- New graduates (Clinical Fellowship Year) and Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) will be considered.
- Experience or interest in working with children with Autism and Intellectual Disabilities is highly desirable.
